"Literally, music is my life. It's my life force, it's the blood that runs through my veins and the only thing that keeps me going sometimes. I wouldn't be anywhere without it, and I know there's this age old thing where you say you're lucky to have found a job in this line of work, where you can get your art out there to touch people, and I do feel inextricably lucky for it. But I'd be doing it anyway. I'd still be recording my music, playing it to whomever'll listen. I would be the guy at the party that dreams of getting out his guitar when he hears a song that inspires him, which is kind of hard when everyone's listening to NOFX and Calvin Harris remixes but you know what I mean. I see music. There is no other life for me."

(On Blackbird):
"I'd say I'm either the Tyler Durden or the Marla Singer to her Narrator. Maybe even Brandy Alexander or a mix of them all. I'm undecided as well as being Jack's smirking revenge."
"The first night we met, I gave her my naked lady lighter. The rest, they say, is history."
"She's incredibly talented. I think she'll go far and if neither of us do, we're going to join the circus, so you know, we'll see."
The quote Claude said she most identifies with on BBC RADIO 6. (listen to interview here.)"I have just returned from a party of which I was the life and soul; wit poured from my lips, everyone laughed and admired me–but I went away–and the dash should be as long as the earth’s orbit————–and wanted to shoot myself." - Soren Kierkegaard
